WHO IS IT FOR

The Talented Athlete

it has been shown that with this type of programme it is possible to develop to the highest level however it does need careful programming and a strong determination to succeed.

The Improving Athlete

For the skier who has had some experience of alpine racing, is really enthusiastic, loves skiing and racing, and wants to see how far they can progress.

The Developing Athlete

For the skier who loves the experience gained at UK facilities but wants to gain mountain snow experience and gain a firm technical basis in order to move on to FIS alpine ski racing.

OUR PROGRAMMES

We know that ski racing calls for a range of physical and mental strengths.  Physical in terms of technical skills, strength and stamina and the mental skills of motivation, determination, risk taking and tenacity.

In order to develop these skills in our athletes we base our programmes on criteria which recognize their development level, which may be related more to strength and size as much as their chronological age.  We want to help  develop a strong sense of self belief which is based on  having the confidence to set realistic and achievable goals and to develop a positive attitude to wining and losing.

We offer age relevant training.  Although the athletes will be based in the same place, FIS U18 & U21 will train separately to the U16, U14, and U12 groups.  This is important, as the needs and equipment regulations of the older athletes are different.
